CD manufacturing |
We offer CD (& DVD) manufacturing to clients who master with us. Manufacturing your CDs through us means extremely competitive manufacturing rates, and you also save the cost and need for a traditional CD Replication Master. Why replicate your discs through us?DDP vs CD Replication MastersWe deliver your replication master directly to the plant electronically as a DDP image. DDP (Digital Data Protocol) is the most accurate way to deliver a master to CD manufacturing because it is less prone to errors and is bit-for-bit accurate to the original master at the studio. Very few CD manufacturers in Australia accept DDP images even though it is the most commonly-used format in the USA & Europe today, but our manufacturing plant uses DDP images. Sending the DDP electronically also saves freight costs and reduces manufacturing time. A few to a lotNeed only a small number of CDs? We can supply short runs of 50, 100 & 200. We can also provide full-scale manufacturing runs of 300, 500, 1000, 2000 and far, far beyond. Packaging and finishing stylesYou can choose from a wide range of packaging styles including traditional jewel cases, 5" cardboard wallets, gatefold wallets and digipaks. The standard finish is gloss lacquer but we also offer a variety of optional finishes such as matte celloglaze (waxy, smooth, matte finish), recycled stock (slightly rough to the touch, matte finish), kraft stock (coarser cardboard feel) & AQ gloss varnish (bright, high gloss finish) along with optional printing methods such as Spot UV (gloss embossed images or text used for highlighting elements of your design). For short run duplication (less than 300) we use thermal printing for a high quality durable gloss finish on the disc surface & are printed & duplicated locally for fast turn-a-round (usually 2-3 days. For bigger replication runs we use full colour CMYK offset printing which is done at our pressing plant in Asia. This is the highest quality option which usually takes 10-12 business days.
