Graham Headley is our after hours mastering engineer at Matthew Gray Mastering.

Graham has always had his sights set on music. He began his musical journey as many of us did – by playing instruments in his early years. On this foundation, Graham expanded his musical world both creatively and technically.

Graham's interest in audio production was sparked in high school. His enthusiasm only increased as a result of one-on-one training with various engineers in the industry and numerous short audio courses and workshops.

After a week of work experience at Matthew Gray Mastering during grade 10, Matthew Gray became Graham’s mentor in many aspects of audio engineering. Around this time, Graham found himself in hot demand for live sound mixing at school functions and recording and mixing numerous school music compositions. His talent had already surpassed many of the more mature engineers.

Hungry for more, Graham hooked up with major companies in Brisbane to work with and mix for major artists like Pauline, Stan Walker, Yves Klein Blue and Hoodoo Gurus. He has also been involved in audio production at his church and for large concerts and conferences including Hillsong.

Committing to a future in audio engineering, Graham completed a Diploma of Music Industry (Technical Production) at Southbank Institute of Technology in Brisbane. At the same time Graham continued live mixing and recording projects for local Brisbane bands, as well as further advanced training with Matthew Gray in various closed mastering sessions.

With his attention for detail and passion for music, Graham is in demand for lower budget projects where he utilises everything that the Matthew Gray Mastering studio has to offer.
